I’ll be back at the West Islip Public Library this year for another pet portrait program on their outdoor terrace! I realized I never posted the photos from last year’s program so here they are! This year’s program will be a lot cooler since we’re doing it in October! It’ll be held on October 5th (rain date October 12th!) from 11am 2 pm. This one is open to West Islip patrons only. Here's the link to register! One of my favorite things to do in my business is programs at local libraries. My mom was a librarian, so the library has always been a special place to me, and her connections there led me to doing my first pet portrait program years ago. Since then, I've expanded to more and more libraries every year and I was so happy to be invited to the West Islip Public Library to photograph pet portraits on their outdoor patio. We got a pretty spectacularly hot day but all the pets were such troopers and we got so many beautiful shots. Thank you so much to the library for having me (and to the librarians who were tasked with sitting outside with me in the heat)! In an interesting twist, a man who works at the library there is a patron who has come to a bunch of my programs at the Middle Country Public Library with his wife and pups, so we got to chat about dogs, a topic I never get tired of! Everyone at the library was so kind and helpful and we had a great turnout! One couple came with her dog and said "would it be ok if we ran home and came back with our bearded dragon?" and my answer was a resounding yes! All pets are welcome here! We even got some very cute shots of their pup and and the lizard together! Thank you to everyone at the library for having me and to all the patrons who came with their pets for a photo! I'm adding even more libraries to my list this year, so get on my email list to be notified of the programs I'll be doing! Here are some of my favorite photos we got that day! To be notified of all the events I’m participating in,
