Benny's mom Erin got in touch with me when he was only a 10 week old ball of fluff and energy! Benny is an adorable Golden Retriever who immediately became everyone's favorite member of the family. Erin and her husband and kids adore him and she was excited to capture some memories of him when he was still a tiny puppy!

Most people wait to schedule a photo session until their dog is full grown because the puppy stage is such a whirlwind. I know how crazy that time can be, but I was so happy Erin wanted to commemorate that wild and fun phase with a photo shoot, because honestly, what is cuter than a puppy?

Benny was so incredibly sweet and silly during our shoot. Although an older dog might be able to sit and stay, Benny's session was so much fun. I can't remember laughing that much during a session ever. He would run back and forth like a speed demon, then crash on the ground panting. I definitely had to use a fast shutter speed on him, because he was moving like lightning! But because of that, we got so many hilarious action shots. Then once he had expended all his energy at the end of the shoot, we got some awesome close ups while his dad held him.

I'm so happy Erin booked the session when Benny was tiny because by the time I delivered their products to them, I couldn't believe how much bigger he got! He had practically quadrupled in size! That puppy stage goes so fast, so I'm glad I was able to get them some great shots to remember how fun and special it was when Benny joined the family!

Here are some of my favorite shots we got that day!

I'm happy to be adding a new library to my pet portrait program list! I'll be at the Mineola Memorial Library on October 24, 2026 from 11am-2pm taking photos of patrons' pets on their front lawn (weather permitting. If it's a rainy day, we'll be inside the library!)

This program is open to dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc! I've had people bring tons of different kinds of animals to my library programs, even ferrets, rats, bunnies, chickens and more! As long as your animal is clean and well-behaved around other animals and in a cage or on a leash, they're welcome to join!

The program is open to patrons of any Long Island library, not just Mineola! Participants will get a free 8x10 delivered to the library within 2 weeks and digital images emailed to them also!

No sign up is required, the program is first come, first served! All the info can be found here! Hope to see you there!

It's my pleasure to announce I've been nominated for the 6th year in a row for Best Pet Photographer on Long Island through the FourLeaf Best of Long Island competition! I was honored to win the distinction in 2025, and I'm so happy to find that people continue to nominate and vote for me every year!

Awards are amazing but the feedback I receive from my clients is worth more to me than winning any honor. I do appreciate the recognition though so thank you to everyone who throws my name in the ring every year and supports me!

If you choose, you can vote for me once per day until December 15th at this link! Thank you!

For many years, I've had a list of types of animals I dream of photographing for my clients. At the top of that list was a snake. Almost 12 years in business went by until finally one came to me! My friend Dylan (whose beautiful pup Mr. Bigby I photographed last summer), is a huge animal lover like myself. He's even going to school in hopes of being a veterinarian. He got in touch with me to come by and take photos of his beautiful ball python Loki.

The first thing you notice about Loki are the beautiful markings of his scales. Apparently his is a rare type. Dylan even said there's a spot on Loki that looks like Ghostface from Scream. He and I also have a love of horror movies in common, so I thought that was especially cool!

We set Loki up on a wooden perch against my black backdrop. I knew having him against a dark background would really make his colors pop and look really dramatic. It was amazing to watch him slither and move around the space, and I was fascinated by him. Even after I knew I'd gotten all I needed for the session, I kept shooting because he was just so amazing to watch. Snakes have a reputation for being scary, but Loki was incredibly calm and sweet and I went away from the session with a new desire to not only photograph more snakes, but to have one of my own one day!

Every pet deserves their day in the spotlight and I was so happy I was able to capture some great shots of Loki for Dylan. We even got a few shots of them together. Sadly, not long after our session, Dylan found out Loki was diagnosed with IBS, which is fatal in snakes once it presents symptoms. I'm sad to report that only 2 months after I photographed Loki, he was gone. This is another reminder that we're never guaranteed a long time with our pets, and it's important to make the most of our time with them while we have them. It's an honor to be able to help people remember their beloved pets!

Here are some of my favorite shots we got that day!

Rest in Peace, Loki.

Ashley got in touch with me for 10th birthday photos for her pup Shasta. Shasta is a beautiful and sweet Husky. Ashley went all out with decorations to bring to celebrate her pup. She called herself a "crazy dog mom" but I said that crazy dog moms are my favorite people! She also brought along something very sentimental to the session. She put a framed photo of Shasta’s sister in some of the photos, her sweet pup Nanook that they lost tragically a few years ago. It was her birthday too so we wanted to honor her as well.

Shasta was such a good girl for her photos. She let us put necklaces, party hats and crowns on her and she didn’t mind one bit. Ashley even got in some of the photos with her sweet girl. I love when owners get in the shots with their pups. They are usually a little reluctant and then afterwards they’re so happy that they did. You can tell on a dog’s face how they relax when they’re next to their mom or dad.

Here's to many more happy healthy years for Shasta! Here are some of my favorite shots we got that day!

It's always a fun time when Daniela of Who Lets Your Dog Out hosts one of her Yappy Hour events! Daniela is undertaking a very important and difficult task, to get Patchogue a much-needed dog park! This area is very dog-friendly and pups and their parents could really use a place to gather. Right now she's raising awareness and gathering input to demonstrate community interest and need for this venture. The Yappy Hour event was a fundraiser for their efforts! There were raffles, rescue groups, vendors, splash pads, a photo booth, and lots of fun for the dogs.

My fellow vendors besides the lovely Daniela were pet portrait artist Sydney Shurgin, Bark n Roll Dog Grooming, dog food and chew company Pet Wants, and rescue group Carol's Senior Pet Sanctuary.

I got my dog Gracey and my dog nephew Hopper some duck feet and lambs' ears from Pet Wants and they absolutely loved them. Sydney was offering $5 pet caricatures on the spot for pet parents, and I got her to do two for me, and they came out absolutely perfect!

Harold got in touch with me when he got an unfortunate diagnosis for his dog Finnley. Finn was a very special dog and had an incredibly strong bond with Harold. He shared with me some of the rough things that he'd gone through in the past few years that Finn had helped him through. I think Finn was just returning the favor, as Harold had saved him from the shelter where he'd been for over 2 years waiting for his forever home.

Finn and Harold came into the studio and even though Finn was sick, he did such an amazing job posing. I was happy that Harold also got into some shots with his beloved pup. Unfortunately Finn was gone very shortly after we met for our session. I helped Harold design the perfect album to memorialize Finn. Sometimes these photos can be tough to look at right after a loss, but I always tell clients that one day they'll look at them and smile instead of cry.

A few months after Finn passed, Harold told me that he had brought home his first foster dog Darla, a pit in need just like Finn was. It was so nice to hear he was honoring Finn's memory by helping another dog waiting for their forever home. Best of luck to them both!

Here are some of my favorite photos we got during Finn's session!

Nine times out of ten, moms are the ones who get in touch with me to book sessions. One thing a mom will always want is updated photos of their families to decorate their homes, show off on social media, display on their desks at work, etc.

Whether you have a mom, wife, dog mom, cat mom, aunt or grandma to celebrate this Mother's Day, photos are always a gift they'll appreciate!

While it's too late to book a session with me in time for Mother's Day, it's never too late to give the gift of a photography session.

You can purchase e-gift cards from me that will be sent instantly to your recipient's email! Or you can send the gift card to yourself to print out and put in a card for your loved one.

If time got the better of you this year and you're scrambling for something heartfelt, the gift of photography is something that the mom in your life will always adore. Sessions can take place in my home studio in Farmingville, at the client's house or on location within Suffolk County, Long Island.

My gift cards are available in any amount over $25. Most gift-givers choose to cover my session fee ($150 for regular sessions, $250 for newborn sessions) and a little extra to include a few photo prints. You can find all my pricing information and product menu here, and when you're ready,
