Hank's mom Caitlin got in touch with me this year for some Christmas photos for this sweet family to put on their holiday card this year. She and husband Billy shocked me when they told me Hank was just a puppy, not even a year old! This guy is seriously so well-behaved and chill for such a young pup. Caitlin and Billy adopted Hank this year, so I'm sure he's so happy to be celebrating his first Christmas with his family.
We met at the harborfront in Northport, which is such a great dog-friendly area. We started at the big gazebo and then walked down to the walkway by the water. Hank was very happy to get to smell all the fun smells down there. There were some very cute decorated Christmas trees that I had them pose in front of and then we headed closer to the water to get those nice views in the background. Hank did such an amazing job, I was so impressed by how nicely he posed for such a young guy who still very much has all that puppy energy in him! Merry Christmas, Hank!

I met Keirla and her mom and dad last year for her First Christmas photos when she was a teeny tiny baby! This year we met again for a special session at the Long Island Museum. Keirla's aunt works there and let us get some photos there! The grounds were so beautiful and Keirla had a lot of fun running around with her adorable Rudolph stuffed animal! We hit a bunch of different spots around the grounds. Keirla especially loved the little barn!
Keirla's mom Karla and I talked about how much we love Halloween and spooky stuff, and she happened to bring a copy of a Nightmare Before Christmas book for Keirla to look at. There was even an old graveyard next to the museum, and we had Keirla sit in front of it for some photos. Some clients would have thought that was crazy, but Karla and I both loved the idea and those ended up being some of my favorite shots from the day! She had so much fun flipping through the book!

It was so great to be invited to the Bayport-Blue Point Library for a holiday pet portrait program on the beautiful library grounds. This was my first time doing this program at the library and I hope to be back soon, because it was such a fun day!
We had a pretty packed out schedule, and we ended up having 30 families join us with 39 dogs and 1 cat! It was a pretty chilly day, but I was able to warm up every once in a while inside the library's cafe. Definitely go visit this beautiful library and get yourself a warm drink this winter! Patrons who joined us for the program got a free 8x10 and digital files of the shots we got.
Thank you to everyone who brought their pup in for a photo, and thank you to the library for having me! I hope to be back next year. Here are some of my favorite shots I got that day!

Stephen and Anna got in touch with me this year for a family portrait session down by the harbor in Port Jefferson with their beloved pup Norman! We met in front of Danford's Hotel and walked up along the harbor, down some of the docks and through Jeanne Garant Park. We ended up down on the beach where Norman enjoyed smelling all of the scents along the waterside!
They are just the cutest little family and it was so sweet to watch them walking and laughing together up and down the pier. We got a beautiful fall day for the photos and I love how they came out! Here are some of my favorite shots from the session!

My client Kelly is always the first one to get in touch with me every year for Christmas photos. She likes to get them done nice and early in the year when the weather is warm. This year we ended up doing our Christmas shoot at the end of July! It's always a good idea to get your holiday shoots on the calendar early, because things do get crazy in November! Kelly always has the most amazing outfits for her three adorable Yorkie pups. We did four different ones this year, and they all looked so cute.
I bring Christmas props every year but Kelly always supplies some absolutely stunning ones also. This year her giant Christmas jingle bells were my favorite. The best part of the shoot every year though is the end when all three pups come to snuggle on my lap and give me kisses. They're the sweetest babies and I look forward to seeing them every year! Here are some of my favorite shots from this year's session!

My last pet holiday mini session event of the year was at Pawcasso in Westhampton Beach. I love shooting events there because Barbara and everyone there are so wonderful to work with. Those who came to the event got a photo shoot with me, digital files of their photos, a “Lick Painting” craft for their dog to create their own winter masterpiece, and a festive goodie bag packed with holiday treats and surprises from Pawcasso. We had a couple of open spaces, so Barbara invited some adoptable pups from the Southampton Animal Shelter!
We had four adoptable pups join us: Woogie, Miranda, Lulu and Pecan. Luckily Woogie and Miranda have already been adopted, but Lulu. and Pecan are still waiting for their home for the holidays. Lulu and Pecan are actually mother and daughter, so they're looking for a home together. If you'd like to learn more or inquire about these pups, click here!
Unfortunately Barbara and the gang are shutting down their storefront in Westhampton Beach, but you can still go to www.pawcassotreats.com to buy their amazing treats! Please do, I guarantee your dog will love them!
Thank you for always having me for events and being such a wonderful presence in the community and the pet industry, Barbara!
Thank you also to everyone who joined us for the event! Here are some of my favorite shots we got that day! Happy Holidays!

I've been doing holiday photos at Barkfield Road for so many years and it's always a lot of fun to go back! They always have the store decorated so beautifully for Christmas and they carry an excellent selection of toys and treats and food for dogs. My Gracey and Hopper always love when I go there because I come back with huge delicious chews and beautifully decorated cookies for them.
As always, we did our holiday photo fundraiser to benefit the Dotty Fund, which provides financial assistance to families in need who need help paying for necessary medical treatment for their pets. We filled up two days back to back with people excited to get their pup a holiday photo. We had several backgrounds and many different props for Christmas photos, Hanukkah photos or just wintertime scenes. We had so many adorable pups come through on both days, and it was nice to see some owners also get into the shots with their babies.
Go visit Barkfield Road the next time you're in the East Northport area and spoil your pet!

It was so great to be back at the LI-Dog Howl-o-ween Party at the beautiful Pine Grove Inn. They had some great special guests and sponsors like Who Lets Your Dogs Out, Salty Paws, Three Dog Bakery, Veterinary Emergency Group, Dog Days Pet Care, Long Island Pet Service, M. Mae Dog Boutique, Hey Bud Garden Services, Smush Pets, New York Bully Crew and more.
They had two excellent costume contests, one for just pups, and one for pups and owners with costumes together. The costumes were absolutely amazing. There was delicious food and drink provided by Pine Grove Inn, great music from Mike Kaplow, and some wonderful raffle baskets to raise money for LI-Dog's important work getting more access to New York's parks and beaches for dogs and their owners. Thank you to LI-Dog for having me! Here are some of the photos I captured that day!
