I was glad to be there for another fun Yappy Hour event hosted by Daniela of Who Lets Your Dog Out at New Village Apartments in Patchogue. This time around was Halloween themed, so all the pups came in their best costumes! They were all so beautifully dressed and wonderfully behaved.

Dog trainer Paul from Pawesome Dogs was there showing off some cool dog toys, and Lisa from Bake You Happy Today was there selling her delicious treats for humans and dogs alike.

Daniela always puts on amazing events for dogs and their owners. Thanks to her for always including me in the fun! Here are some of my favorite photos from the event!

Jennifer’s Maternity Session

When Jennifer contacted me for maternity photos, I was pleasantly surprised when she said she wanted to include her two children in the photos. I find that a good deal of moms get maternity photos done during their first pregnancy and then opt not to do them for their following pregnancies. So many moms have told me that every pregnancy feels different, so I think it’s great to commemorate each one with a photo session. This way, your kids will look back on the photos and see the progression of your family at every stage.

When we got together for photos, I was happy to meet the entire family. We started with photos of mom Jennifer and her oldest child, daughter Adrianna, who was so happy to be getting a new sibling. During this time, dad Rich was waking up their son Isaac who was enjoying a very deep nap at the time. Even though he wasn’t overly pleased to be woken up, he cheered up once he realized the park we were shooting at had a ton of bunnies. The kids had a very good time following them around in between family shots.

You could tell the family had some practice with taking photos, because they posed together naturally and beautifully. I had a great time with them, and I’m looking forward to meeting the newest member of the family very soon! Here are some of my favorite photos from our session!

Winter Wonderland Pet Portraits at MCPL 10.19.18

I'll be back for the third year in a row at Middle Country Public Library for a pet portrait program! Get your winter portrait with your pet done nice and early at the Winter Wonderland themed event. The program is open to all patrons of the library that are registered for the program. All pets should be clean, well-behaved around other animals, and on a leash. In the past years, we've seen dogs and cats and even ferrets. I love all kinds of pets, so bring it on!

This year's program will be held on a weeknight, with the 15th Annual Pet Parade to be held directly before the program starts. So after you parade your pet, come get it photographed by me!

Here is a sampling of some of the photos I shot at last year's event!

It will be held on Friday, October 19th from 6-8:30pm in the Centereach building of the Middle Country Public Library.

Juliette’s 1st Birthday

I first met Juliette’s family when her mom was pregnant with her. Nina brought her son Owen and their family dog Bolt to the first pet portrait program I did with Islip Public Library. Nina and I kept in touch on Instagram and then the second time the program came around, Juliette joined them! By the time I met her, I felt like I knew her because I’d seen so many of her photos! She was just as smiley and happy at the program. When Nina reached out to me to shoot Juliette’s rainbow themed 1st birthday photos, I was so happy. I knew she was going to give me great smiles, and being the aunt to a rainbow baby myself, I was especially honored to capture these special memories.

Big brother Owen was so good posing with his baby sister. He’s had a lot of practice!

Then Dad joined us and we closed out the day with some family shots!

When Mom came in to the studio to see the photos, we did a few more shots of a onesie we didn’t get around to photographing at the park. Juliette is such a pro at smiling! I'm so happy I've been able to get to know this special girl and her family.
