As a Long Islander, it’s pretty much a requirement to love the beach so this was a really fun session to do. I’d never been to this particular beach in Greenport and it was so beautiful! I met Kelsey and Michael there with their dog Ollie for some pet portrait and family shots. Ollie is a super cute golden doodle pup who was only around 8 months old when we had our session. For such a young pup, he did such a great job sitting still for our photos. He loved posing on the sand, rocks, driftwood and even let us put a bandana on announcing that his parents were getting married! You could tell he wanted to jump in the water the entire time but he waited so patiently so we could get plenty of dry shots before he plunged in the water for some fun! He had a blast in there, so much so that he went just a little too far and his dad had to wade in a little to get him to come back to shore! I love the shots of all of them cuddled up together as the sun set over the giant rocks. It was such a beautiful session and that golden sun was the perfect end to it. Here are some of my favorite shots from the session! Get in touch to book your pet session today! Email me at laurapeaphotography@gmail.com or call (631)256-7476.

Looking back at this session makes me miss the fall so much, I swear! I did this shoot with the parents of the wonderful Handsome Zeus who I've photographed many times. Go check him out on Instagram! Katrina and Andrew are getting married at the end of the year, so we met this past October to commemorate their engagement with some photos at the beautiful Peconic River Herb Farm. Katrina came well-equipped with plenty of props and ideas for the session. She even got me involved in making a video for her to post on TikTok and Reels! As a certified old curmudgeon, I am always slow to try out new stuff, so I haven't done any of those kinds of videos for social media yet. But now I can say I participated in one, at least! We got some really special shots of the engagement ring balanced on Zeus' nose, which I really love. I had to lay flat on the ground to get that one, but Katrina has a lot of experience with taking photos of her dog, so I knew she wouldn't think I was weird! Sometimes with pet photography, you have to get very creative (and a little messy) to get the shot! Here are some of my favorite photos from our session! Get in touch to book your pet session today! The trails there are beloved by dogs and their owners so if you have a chance to visit there give it a shot! I met Leo and his mom Annette there to get some shots for their Christmas card. We started off with this adorable teddy bear sweater and then he went au naturel to explore the trails. He was a little hesitant at first to do individual shots but got a little more comfortable later on when he got used to the weird lady sticking the big camera lens in his face! He was so much happier to pose with his mom and he seemed the most at ease when he was snuggled in her arms! He was interested to see all the other dogs who passed us by on the trails, and this is a popular spot for pups, so we had the opportunity to make a lot of friends! This was a really fun session and I'm so glad I got the chance to get to know Leo and his mom! Here are some of my favorite photos from our session! Get in touch to book your pet session today! Laci and Luci's mom Kelly likes to get her Christmas photos done very early so she can get a jump on sending cards. As a photographer who is routinely swamped in November with so many sessions I can't keep up, I LOVED that! I often tell clients to get their sessions with me booked early to make sure they get into my schedule. I hate having to turn people away, so booking early is always the best option, and everyone is usually much more comfortable in the photos when it's a little warmer! Laci and Luci were such sweethearts, both well-dressed and well-behaved! They loved wearing their adorable dresses, pajamas and bows and they did so great posing for the camera! It was pretty interesting to be shooting Christmas photos on a hot day, but the dogs didn't mind at all. They were already practicing being nice and I have a good idea that Santa (AKA Mom and Dad) are going to spoil them come Christmas day! Here are some of my favorite photos from our shoot! While I was there for our summer program, we discussed the possibility of doing a fall program. Since there are many families who come back each time I'm there to shoot, we decided to add some themes so that there would be a nice variety to the photos we've done. Our original program was set for October 30th but the weather was not cooperating, so we moved it to November 14th. Two themes were available, a fall backdrop and a winter backdrop and patrons could choose to use either or both for their photos! It was a lot of fun seeing old and new faces coming to the program, and all the pets were so adorable and very well-behaved! Some pets showed up in really cute Christmas costumes. Thank you to all the families who brought their pets to be photographed and to the library for having me again! Here are some of the great shots we got! To be notified of all the events I’m participating in,
