I’m so excited to be coming back to Barkfield Road in East Northport for the first time since the pandemic started! I’ve missed doing photo events there so much. It’s such an amazing pet store! You need to visit if you're a Long Island dog lover! They’re putting on a Fall puppy parade around the square they're located in and a costume contest. The winner will receive a gift basket with goodies from the store and a gift certificate for a free half hour session and a $50 print credit from me. The event will be on Sunday, October 16th from 10am-1pm and will be sponsored by Primal Pet Foods! Look out for PSLs for the pups made with their pumpkin spice goat milk! After the costume contest, I’ll be taking photos of pets inside the store! Fall or Halloween props and a backdrop will be available. Photo appointments will start at 10:30am! These will be quick 10 minute sessions where we take a few photos and pet parents can choose their favorite ones and order 4x6s, 5x7s and 8x10s. There won’t be any sitting fee and product prices will be as follows: 4x6s: $10 5x7s: $15 8x10s: $20 You can be in the photo with your pet or it can be their time to shine on their own. Spots may go quickly so call Barkfield Road at (631)651-9292 to sign up! Here are some Fall pet photos I've shot in the past! Call (631)651-9292 to reserve your spot today!

It's such an honor to be nominated for Best Pet Photographer on Long Island. This is the third year in a row I've been nominated, and each time it happens, I get such a shock. My business is very high touch but pretty low volume. I work very closely with just a small number of clients a year to create a really custom experience for those who choose to invest with me. So the fact that enough people took the time to nominate me to get me on the ballot really means so much to me. Thank you so much to everyone who nominated me!
If you'd like to vote for me, you can do so once a day per email address at this link! VOTE HERE! Scroll down in the pets category to get to the subcategory of pet photographer! For now, my business name is spelled incorrectly as "Laura Pea Photograghy" but you know who I am haha! You can vote once a day until December 15th. Thank you so much! Sadie's dad Daniel got in touch with me because he received a gift card from a friend for this session. I love when people give the gift of photography, so I was excited to meet him and his pup! He and I discussed a few options for where we wanted this shoot to take place, and he kept going back to how much he loved the view in his backyard! That worked perfectly, because dogs are usually the most relaxed and at ease on their own turf! Sadie is a beautiful Vizsla with a gorgeous deep red coat and such a sweet personality. She had fun running around the pool, playing ball in the yard and exploring the dock behind their house. She's a young dog so she had a ton of energy! We got plenty of action shots, but she also posed beautifully alone and with Daniel. You can tell from their photos that they have a very strong bond! Sadie looks at him like he hung the moon, it's so sweet to see! Here are some of my favorite photos from their session! Get in touch to book your pet session today! I’d never been to this particular beach in Greenport and it was so beautiful! I met Kelsey and Michael there with their dog Ollie for some pet portrait and family shots. Ollie is a super cute golden doodle pup who was only around 8 months old when we had our session. For such a young pup, he did such a great job sitting still for our photos. He loved posing on the sand, rocks, driftwood and even let us put a bandana on announcing that his parents were getting married! You could tell he wanted to jump in the water the entire time but he waited so patiently so we could get plenty of dry shots before he plunged in the water for some fun! He had a blast in there, so much so that he went just a little too far and his dad had to wade in a little to get him to come back to shore! I love the shots of all of them cuddled up together as the sun set over the giant rocks. It was such a beautiful session and that golden sun was the perfect end to it. I did this shoot with the parents of the wonderful Handsome Zeus who I've photographed many times. Go check him out on Instagram! Katrina and Andrew are getting married at the end of the year, so we met this past October to commemorate their engagement with some photos at the beautiful Peconic River Herb Farm. Katrina came well-equipped with plenty of props and ideas for the session. She even got me involved in making a video for her to post on TikTok and Reels! As a certified old curmudgeon, I am always slow to try out new stuff, so I haven't done any of those kinds of videos for social media yet. But now I can say I participated in one, at least! We got some really special shots of the engagement ring balanced on Zeus' nose, which I really love. I had to lay flat on the ground to get that one, but Katrina has a lot of experience with taking photos of her dog, so I knew she wouldn't think I was weird! Sometimes with pet photography, you have to get very creative (and a little messy) to get the shot! Here are some of my favorite photos from our session! Get in touch to book your pet session today! The trails there are beloved by dogs and their owners so if you have a chance to visit there give it a shot! I met Leo and his mom Annette there to get some shots for their Christmas card. We started off with this adorable teddy bear sweater and then he went au naturel to explore the trails. He was a little hesitant at first to do individual shots but got a little more comfortable later on when he got used to the weird lady sticking the big camera lens in his face! He was so much happier to pose with his mom and he seemed the most at ease when he was snuggled in her arms! He was interested to see all the other dogs who passed us by on the trails, and this is a popular spot for pups, so we had the opportunity to make a lot of friends! This was a really fun session and I'm so glad I got the chance to get to know Leo and his mom! Here are some of my favorite photos from our session! Get in touch to book your pet session today! My sister and I decided we’d do her family Christmas photos there. The day we went there for our photos turned out to be FREEZING. The wind was brutal and we were wishing we’d done them much earlier! Even though it was super cold, my nephew Seth did really well posing! He’s so used to me taking photos of him by now! In fact, he routinely tells me “take a picture, Aunt Laura!” at random points each day. He was excited to explore the gingerbread houses and the Airstream village most of all. After we finished up with family shots, we let Seth have some time on the jump pad, the part of the farm he likes the best! Because we went during the week and it was such a chilly day, he had the whole thing to himself! When we got home that day, he indulged me by taking one last shot in front of their Christmas tree! Here are some of my favorite shots from the day! I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season! Get in touch to book your session today!
